These are referral resources available for diabetic patients who get care in Pittsburg or Baypoint
Promotoras: They offer culturally-sensitive nutrition and diabetes classes, a peer health support group (Alma con Alma), patient navigation (i.e. helping get insurance, appointments), and, in 2010, Zumba classes

Alma con Alma is every Friday, classroom B, with free snacks and free child care. Patients can just drop in. No health insurance required. "Pre"-diabetics are welcome, too.
Dietician-run diabetes classes (Rosa Venegas and Sandy Quierolo): two-part English- and Spanish-language classes
Use MR191, and nurse can schedule via EPIC
English: Part I is 1st and 3rd Wed at 2 PM, part II is 2nd and 4th Wed at 2 PM
Spanish is 1st and 3rd Thur at 2:30 PM, part II is 2nd and 4th Thu at 2:30
African-American Health Conductors: They offer a peer health support group (called "Body and Soul" in Pittburg and "Soul to Soul" in Baypoint) and patient navigation
